The 4 tine fork has gorgeous open pierced hand engraved details on both sides that extend along the prongs. The handles are of a generous scale, very nicely shaped with unique and beautiful repousse floral patterns that extend the full length of the hilt. Both the fish knife and fork are in excellent condition. The original case, with royal blue velvet and satin lining, is in fair condition considering the age and use.The silver plate marks are on the front of the knife blade and read:  “Roberts & Slater” of Sheffield England, active from 1845-1858.  A remarkably unusual set worthy of any fine dining table setting.
