Meissen Style – German Painted Porcelain Cup and Saucer with Panels of Flowers and Figures, Gilt Decoration

A beautiful German painted porcelain cup and saucer in a Meissen style with a white background and alternating panels of colourful flowers and courtier figures on the cup and saucer. There is gilt decoration between the panels and on the scalloped rims and cup handle.

The Meissen type mark of crossed swords under a crown is painted on the underside of each piece.

The cup is 2 3/4 inches wide from the rim to the handle and stands 2 1/4 inches tall. The saucer is 5 1/4 inches in diameter.

Both pieces are in excellent condition.
