Meriden USA Victorian Silver-Plated Stand with 3 Cherubs & Cased Glass Bowl, c.1880

A gorgeous Victorian silver-plated stand by Meriden USA, circa 1880. The stand is decorated with 3 cherubs and floral decoration and has 4 feet.

The underside of the stand shows the Meriden maker’s mark and is stamped “Made and Guaranteed By Meriden 1684 USA. ”

In the centre of the stand is a removable cased glass insert. The insert has a white underside and the top is pink glass, accented with designs in orange enamel. The insert has a crimped edge for added beauty.

The insert is 12 inches in diameter and the stand with insert measures 10 1/2 inches in height.

Both pieces are in excellent condition.
