Naples Porcelain Oval Hinged Box, 19th Century, Putti Playing Musical Instruments and Animal Decorations

A 19th century Naples Italian porcelain oval hinged box with animals and putti figures in relief on all sides and on the domed top. There is the head of a woman on 3 of the 4 sides of the box. The box with decorated gold work and has bronze trim.

The underside is marked with the Naples “N” and crown mark in underglaze blue.

The box is 6 1/2 inches long x 3 1/2 inches wide and is 2 1/2 inches tall.

The box is in excellent condition.
