A pair of French Bronze Candelabra, that date from the early 19th century (Empire Period). The french bronze is painted with a charcoal and a gold, it is decorated with a unique pattern of scroll, bead, leaf and floral in the design of holders and the platform. Each centre features a mythological figure of a cherub holding up the candle holders to the sky for light, in attempts to remain in balance on a circular sphere, that may gesture a planet. Each candelabra rests upon a burgundy marble platform with accents of gilt and bronze, it is a simple, yet unique decorative composition.
Measures: 13 inches in height.
Excellent Condition: No repairs. ( Minimal surface scratches on the gold, with small dents upon the rim of the candle holders from gentle use. See images for details on condition.)
