Pair of French Bronze Plaques with Figures – “Le Duel” – Late 19th Century

This beautiful pair of plaques are made of bronze and both include a group depiction and tells a story. The first depicts a man and a woman playing cards together with a gentleman looking over them. The second depicts the two men about duel over the woman who stands in between trying to stop them.

One plaques is titled Le Duel, the other is titled as well but is hard to make out what it reads.

Dates late 19th century – France.

Each Measures 17 1/2 inches wide x 13 1/2 inches tall.
