A fascinating ovoid shaped vase with hand-painted scenes of Japanese figures by Satsuma Pottery Ware in Japan, it dates early 20th century. It features a delightful animated Japanese figural scene of a maiden in counsel of wise elders in fine line work, it is decorated with embellishments of floral, ribbon and geometric shapes. It is beautifully designed and hand-painted in colours of green, red, orange, red, and brown with accents of gold throughout. Perfect for a unique gift, collectors or decorating the home.

A ‘Japanese Cloisonné Sato Period Vase’ – in a baluster-shape with rounded shoulder, and wide mouth narrowing down to base. The body is decorated with ‘Cherry Blossoms’ in pink, red, yellow, brown and green over white ground, with silver rims. The Japanese cloisonné is a very fine and smoother than the Chinese cloisonné.

This 19th century Chinese hinged box features a hand-carved design of dragons and birds from Chinese folk tales upon the exterior of the box amidst swirls of clouds. Stained a deep red colour under a high gloss finish accented with a red velvet interior. The box is quite large with curved hinges, it is a perfect size for storing, or organizing fine objects.
