Pair of Vienna Porcelain Hand Painted – Two Handled Covered Urns c.1890

A pair of Vienna hand painted two handled, lidded urns.  Each with hand painted classical scenes on the front and painted cherubs on the reverse.  Each urn is highlighted in fine detailed hand painted gold throughout and the gilt handles are in the shape of Swan necks/heads, making them spectacular.

The urns are each titled on the underside of the base – the first titled:  ‘Rinaldo und Armeda’ –  the second titled:  ‘Jupiter und Calisto’.  The scenes themselves are also artist signed.  Each urn bears a blue beehive Vienna mark under the base.
