Royal Crown Derby English Bone China Tea Strainer and Under-Bowl – “Derby Posies Pattern”

A lovely Royal Crown Derby English bone china tea strainer and matching under-bowl in the “Derby Posies Pattern”.

Both pieces have a white background and are wonderfully decorated with floral sprays and with gilt paint trim around the rims of the two pieces.

The underside of each piece has the Royal Crown Derby maker’s mark as well as “Derby China. Royal Crown Derby English Bone China. “Derby Posies”” and “XXXIV”. On the tea strainer there is also the painted initial “J” and, on the bowl, the painted initial “V”, denoting the painters.

The tea strainer is 4 3/4 inches from the lip to the handle and is 2 3/4 inches wide. The bowl is 3 3/4 inches in diameter.

Both pieces are in excellent condition.
