Set of 12 Wedgwood Dinner / Serving Plates – in the older “Montreal” Pattern (W692) – Art Nouveau Border
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA rare pattern by Wedgwood – known as the older “Montreal” pattern with hints of Art Nouveau swirls and swags of flowers with a beautiful floral spray in the centre of each plate. Butterflies fly around the floral sprays. The colours are vibrant and are all hand painted with raised painted/enamelled decoration. Very beautiful and lovely quality.
This pattern is normally seen in the “Wellesley” shape which is a creamware with an embossed border/rim with the same centre floral spray. Ours for sale is a higher quality bone china with an Art Nouveau border which was probably phased out and redesigned later in its current form.
Each plate measures 10 1/2 inches in diameter. There are 12 in total.
