Very fine Mappin & Webb early 20th century sterling silver small mug decorated with elegant turnings to the tapering bowl and a sumptuous scroll handle featuring a stunning sheet capped thumb piece with delightful cascading tear drops ending in a serpentine curve.  Perhaps used as a christening mug – although it is quite heavy for its size.
