Victorian Hand-Blown Cased Glass Basket with Barley Twist Handle, “Leaf” Rim and Applied Decoration

Here is a gorgeous Victorian hand-blown cased glass basket with an applied barley-twist glass handle and 6 feet. The basket’s rim and feet are shaped like leaves.

The interior of the basket is white while the exterior is pale green.

There are applied glass berries in red and leaves in green on the front of the basket.

On the underside of the basket is the pontil mark, where the glass was removed from the rod after hand-blowing.

The basket with handle stands approximately 10 inches tall and it is approximately 9 inches wide across the rim.

There is some small paint loss to the red berries and one of the feet shows some damage (but that does not affect the basket’s stability).

Overall, the basket is in very good condition.
