Vienna Austria Orientalist Cold Painted Bronze of Two Carpet Sellers Signed “BK” in Square Box Foundry Mark

A beautiful and colourful Vienna Austria Orientalist cold painted bronze grouping of two carpet sellers displaying their wares. One is smoking a pipe while crouching on the carpet; The other is holding up a carpet for display. In two places are the initials “BK” in a square box ( on the underside of the base and on the back of the raised carpet). I have seen several bronzes by this artist – but it is unclear which Austrian foundry this is attributed to.

The bronze measures 6 3/8 inches wide at the base and stands 6 1/2 inches tall from the top of the taller figure’s turban to the base.

The bronze is in very good condition with bright details.
