v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA wonderful bronze figurine of a woman – Representing “Winter” with a shawl wrapped around her shoulders and head – although she has no clothes on from the waist down. It has a beautiful patina.
The bronze is signed “Houdon” on the base and “F. Barbedienne Fondeur” further down on the side of the base.
Jean Antoine Houdon (1748-1841) – The original by Houdon is done in Marble.

The bronze measures 17 inches tall and 6 inches wide.
