French Champleve Table Lamp with Onyx

This elegant lamp from France is decorated in the Champleve enamelling technique in which the base has been carved, filled with enamel, heated, fused and polished showing the non-enamelled metal surface framing the colourful enamel. It has a floral motif over a light blue background with a pattern of flowers, leaves and scrolls. Green onyx, a metal base and a decorative finial enhance the lamp. It comes with a rectangular shade in a neutral colour.
