Georgian Period Sterling 4 Piece Tea Service – Emes & Barnard – dated 1828
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA fabulous decorated sterling tea service by Rebecca Emes and Edward Barnard I and dated for London, 1828. Beautiful repoussé flowers and Oak leaves around the body of each piece, with heavily decorated handles, sprouts , rims and bases. Finials are flower forms. Original gold wash still on the interiors of the creamer and sugar. The set is quite heavy weighing just under 2.6 kilos of sterling .925 silver.

English hallmarks on each piece: for London, 1824 and maker “RE” over “EB” for Rebecca Eames and Edward Barnard. Family coat of arms on each piece.
