French Bronze Medal From the French Mint, June 1967, No. 108/800
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vHere is a wonderful French Commemorative bronze medal from the French Mint in Paris, dated June 1967 and stamped “1967 No. 108/800” on the rim. One side shows a scene with figures in travelling clothes and horses and carriages in the background.
The title: La Fin De La Belle Epoque. Monnaie de Paris Juin 1967 – translating to: The End of the Belle Epoque. Paris Mint, June 1967.
The other side shows the face of a man with wild hair and beard. The artist’s name “H. Dropsy” is stamped to the right of the man’s shoulder. Around the outside of the medallion is stamped “La Medaille En Frame Deponscarme. A La Fin De La Belle Epoque. Monnaie de Paris Juin 1967”.
The medallion is 2 7/8 inches in diameter and is in very good condition.
