R.S. Prussia Porcelain Footed Creamer and Sugar Bowl with Removable Lid – “Mill” Scene

A lovely set of R.S. Prussia porcelain footed creamer and sugar bowl. Each piece has a scalloped rim and the lid of the sugar bowl is removable.

Each piece has a white background and is painted in shades of yellow and brown with gold designs and accents.

On the front of the sugar bowl is a scene showing a thatched cottage. The creamer front shows a mill scene with a water wheel and stream and a woman sitting in the grass. On both pieces, there are trees in the background and bushes in the foreground. The back of each piece shows a painted scene of leaves.

On the underside of each piece is the R.S. Prussia maker’s mark and is stamped “RS Prussia”.

The creamer measures 4 inches wide from the spout to the handle and is 3 1/4 inches tall. The sugar bowl is 5 1/4 inches wide from handle to handle. It is 4 inches tall from the finial of the lid to the feet.

There are some condition issues. On the creamer, there is a scratch and some other paint loss at the spout and along the bottom, near the feet.  The sugar bowl has paint loss on the lid finial and a chip on the rim, near one of the handles. There is also some paint loss on the back of the sugar bowl.
