A 19th century stunningly cast silver plated lidded flagon – of tapering form with a domed, hinged lid. The body is repousse decorated with Satyrs & Men – in Greek Mythological scenes that surround the body. A child figure sits on the lid as a finial for the flagon. Hallmarked on base H&H for Hukin & Heath makers from Birmingham (started in 1855) and this company eventually worked with Christopher Dresser from 1877 onwards.
Measures: 11 inches high x 9 inches wide (handle to spout).
Excellent condition. Silver plating is worn in places and the copper is showing through.
