19th Century Majolica Plate, Decorated with a Bird and a Flowering Branch
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vHere is a very pretty 19th century majolica pottery plate, decorated in a blue and white lattice pattern with yellow edging around the rim.
The centre of the plate has a gray/green bubble pattern and is decorated with a colorful bird and a flowering branch.
There is some paint loss to the bird and flowers as well as some color loss to the edge and a small chip on the edge near the bottom of the plate. There is also a hairline crack on the back of the plate which is painted in a splotcy grey/green colour.
The plate is approximately 8 3/4 inches in diameter.
