A magnificent quality French Empire style abattant  / Secretaire Desk in mahogany that looks like a 7 drawer lingerie chest.  2 drawers are fake and act as the front panel that lowers to reveal a flat desk surface with leather inlay and satinwood cubbies interior.  Two reeded pillars flank either side of the chest.  The 14 handles all in bronze, with applied bronze borders around each drawer, a bronze upper gallery and bronze mounts all around.  A white marble top caps off the top of the piece.
