v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA beautiful Silver-Plated & Cut Crystal Biscuit Barrel, dated 1845, during the reign of Queen Victoria. The silver-plated features a lovely floral chased lid with pointed cap, fleur de lis and twisted rope sides, and a round-bodied base supported by ornate feet. The cut crystal is a stunning cylinder-bodied composition decorated with elegant cut lines and geometric shapes.
Marked: On the bottom. Moulded mark on glass, dated ‘A’ for 1845, ‘M’ for month of June.
Measures: 8 inches tall x 4 5/8 inches wide.
Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. (Minimal surface scratches from gentle use.)
