A German / Swiss Gilt Automated “Bird Music Box” with Singing & Moving Bird – Signed Hildebrand

A fancy & rare German automated music box with singing bird.  The box is wound from the bottom and when the lever is pulled, the top snaps open with a miniature bird that sings and moves from side to side.  When the short tune is finished, the bird and lid snap back into closed position.  The box shows in relief, vignettes of stags, hunting dogs and a hunter in a canoe on a river.
