Exceptional American Wave Crest Biscuit Barrel circa 1880

This Wave Crest biscuit barrel is by American firm – C.F. Monroe Co.  It features a wonderful raised trellis pattern in the white opal glass body that is decorated with little pale blue flowers.  It has silver plated banding, a handle that also has a trellis and flower motif  and very decorative lid with finial.  It is well known that Wave Crest is often unmarked.

Measures: 4 3/4 inches wide x 8 3/8 inches high (to top of lid finial).

Excellent condition: No chips, cracks or repairs. Silver plate shows no wear.
