Art Glass / Crystal, LightingStunning Pairpoint Puffy table lamp is a premier example of American Art Nouveau craftsmanship, featuring a highly desirable “Stratford” shade, characterized by its unique 3D mold-blown glass and subtle basket-weave texture. The shade was meticulously acid-etched and reverse-painted by hand and signed, creating a luminous scene of roses and a hummingbird that glows with exceptional depth when illuminated. The unique shade design with a wide floral band of a hummingbird and roses are on a frosted colourless linenfold field with blue borders and “art nouveau” style metal base.
The lamp is supported by its original, tri-form metal base, model number D3070. This tripod-style base features a classic baluster stem and retains its original aged patina. The underside is clearly stamped with the “PAIRPOINT ” name and the shade also signed . This combination of the sculptural Stratford shade and trim-form metal base represents a rare and sophisticated acquisition, in excellent condition, a collector’s dream.
