Art Nouveau Vase – Austrian Imperial Amphora Secessionist Vase with Grape Motifs Circa 1900

An exceptional piece from the Art Nouveau period and of Amphora pottery from Austria. The bottom of the vase has ” impressed ” markings of ” Imperial Amphora” plus the word “Amphora”. It is also numbered.  Beautiful earthy tones in the surface grape motifs as well as the soft intensity of the interior glaze lilac colour. The wonderful contrast is the gold “art nouveau” sculptural details on the handles. Truly a unique and unusual find.
