Beautiful & Large Art Nouveau Cranberry Glass Sterling Silver Overlay Perfume Bottle, American Circa 1890s

This beautiful Art Nouveau dark cranberry glass perfume bottle has a lovely bulbous shape with the entire circumference and stopper generously covered in swirling sterling silver overlay depicting classical floral motifs, some with engraved details. In excellent condition and even though this scent bottle is unsigned,  presumably originally there were silver stamps that wore off with time and usage. The blank silver plaque awaits your engraved intials.

This type and quality of silver overlay were done by several American silver companies, namely Alvin Silver Co. which was one of the more notable.

A beautiful accent piece for a vanity table or powder room.
