Classic & Lovely Rose Chintz English Johnson Brothers Dinner Set for 8, Hand Engraved, Circa 1930-1950s

English Johnson Brothers “Rose Chintz” pattern features a lovely classic floral design with an all-over print on creamy-white earthenware.  The pattern consists of a profusion of flowers completely covering the surface in the classic Chintz style. Delicate pink roses are intertwined with blue wax flowers and pink blossoms with green leaves on a creamy white base. The outer edge is scalloped.
The pink backstamp on these pieces is the one most favoured by collectors because it  indicates a manufacture date between the 1930’s and 1950’s, when the pattern was “Made in England” and the design was “Hand Engraved”.
