Distinguished American Tiffin Glass Company of Ohio Set of 8 Crystal/Gold Encrusted Goblets, Vintage 1950’s Tiffin-Franciscan “Rambler Rose” Pattern , Height: 7.75″
Art Glass / CrystalA refined set of eight mid-20th century crystal goblets by the Tiffin Glass Company of Ohio, produced under the Tiffin-Franciscan name in the elegant “Rambler Rose” pattern.
Each goblet is formed with a gently flared bowl supported by a slender stem and circular foot, the proportions lending both balance and grace to the form. The upper register is adorned with a richly burnished gold-encrusted band, finely detailed with an intricate scrolling rose and foliate motif. A narrow gilt line encircles the foot, completing the composition and reflecting the high level of decorative finish characteristic of Tiffin’s better quality lines of the period.
The set is in excellent condition and the clarity of the crystal and precision of the gold decoration exemplify the craftsmanship for which Tiffin was renowned in the postwar era. Designed for formal entertaining, these goblets are suitable for wine service or refined table settings, embodying the sophistication associated with mid-century American crystal production.
