Early 19th Century Derby Porcelain Pedestal Fruit Bowl / Centerpiece – circa 1800-1825
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA colourful Derby porcelain pedestal bowl in an Imari pattern. The oval shape bowl decorated on the interior with traditional imari colours of blue, rust and gold over a white background. A centre still life scene with a vase and florals – typical of the Japanese style that was popular at the time. The exterior of the bowl is also decorated. Bowl is unmarked but could have mark under Dealer’s label.
The bowl sits on an oval plain pedestal and underneath the bottom shows a label from an antique retailer in the 1960’s.
Bowl measures: 13 1/4 inches long x 8 1/2 inches deep x 6 1/2 inches high
It’s in beautiful condition and would make a great centerpiece for a table or a fruit bowl in any setting.
