English Papier Mâché Chinoiserie Decorated Letter Holder, circa 1890

This English Chinoiserie letter holder is a remarkable example of the Orients influence on art in Britain that started in the 18th century. This diminutive black papier maché letter holder is divided into three section that could hold note cards and smaller envelopes. This holder features a gold Chinoiserie design of very fine quality.  Perfect for any decor.
