English Early Flow Blue “Scinde” Platter by L & G Alcock, Circa 1840s

A lovely early English flow blue “scinde” platter by L & G Alcock, featuring an Oriental landscape scene. The Chinoisore design has a leafy border and octagonal shaped edges.  The unique and beautiful deep, bold flowing blue makes this platter a collectors treasure, circa 1840s.

Marked on back  “Scinde”  in blue + impressed marks:  Oriental Stone, L & G Alcock

Measures: 18.5″ x 14.25″ Note: excellent condition considering it’s age with two flea bite chips
