This is a gorgeous, very large, dinner service for 12 in KIRK REPOUSSE. The ornate, raised, and chased floral cutlery pattern was first introduced in 1845, after the tremendous success of the earlier hollowware.
The seven piece place settings include: dinner forks, round blade dinner knives, dinner soups, bouillon spoons, salad/dessert forks, teaspoons and sporks (ice cream spoons).
There are also 16 serving pieces: a carving knife and fork, a sugar shell, a master butter, a gravy ladle, a cold meat fork, a lettuce fork, an asparagus fork, a sardine fork, a tomato slice, a stuffing spoon, a large serving spoon, a berry spoon with a beautiful repousse bowl, a pie lifter and two individual seafood forks that could also be used for serving seafood tidbits or pickles.
A fabulous Rare Moorcroft Claremont (Mushrooms / Toadstools) design vase from circa 1915 with the early Burslem impressed mark.
Deep bold colours of reds, purples and yellows throughout with groupings of mushrooms all over the vase over a green and blue mottled background.
11 mushrooms in total.
