Extraordinary English Burled Yew Secretary Desk with Mahogany and Satinwood

This gorgeous English 20th century burled yew secretary desk has all the features of an antique original. The secondary wood is mahogany with satin inlay details. The bookcase has a handsome top pediment, locking glass doors with curved wood details and three interior wood shelves. The desk section has brass pulls on two smaller drawers over two full width drawers, all resting over top of shaped, ogee bracket feet. The gorgeous lockable burled yew slant front opens to reveal a “theatrical”  workspace in it’s miniature “stage” details. Complete with serpentine top trim over cubbies, burled yew center door storage compartment with adjacent carved columns, four adorable miniature brass pull drawers and a 2 toned ochre coloured, tooled leather work pad.

An extremely visually pleasing and functional piece of furniture with useful storage space, this secretary desk is a work of art in itself. It will be the focal point in any room setting.
