French Art Deco Style Lalique “Naïade” / Nude Water Nymph, Frosted Crystal Ring Holder Tray, Circa 1950s

,

Art Deco style Lalique frosted crystal ring holder tray that depicts a clear plaque of a frosted nude nymph, dancing while the water is splashing, known as “Naïade” . Originally designed by René Lalique (the founder of Lalique) and later reissued by the Lalique company in clear and frosted crystal. The design features a naïade or water nymph in relief, with flowing hair and stylized waves – typical of Lalique’s Art Deco themes celebrating femininity and nature.

Marked “Lalique France” on the base by hand etched cursive script (not molded or stamped) – this was common after WWII, when Lalique pieces were finished and signed manually in the workshops. Label on inside of the dish reds ” CRISTAL LALIQUE”. In excellent condition.

Dimensions: height 4.25″ x diameter of circular tray  4″
