French Porcelain Painted & Gilded Portrait Plate of Woman & Cherub in the Clouds, Signed “F. Chonez”
PorcelainsA gorgeous French porcelain hand-painted portrait plate of a woman and cherub (holding a mask) sitting on clouds. The deep cobalt blue scalloped rim of the plate is heavily gilded with florals and musical instruments.
On the underside of the plate is the crossed arrows mark – that of R. Bloch Porcelain du Paris (early 20th century).
The artist’s signature is signed on the lower right corner of the portrait.
The plate is 10 inches in diameter and is in very good condition.
