Georgian Period Ivory Round Box with Painted Miniature Portrait.

A lovely round box made in carved ivory with a wreath decoration.  The box is made in two halves with the decoration continuous on both halves.  The lid contains a miniature portrait (also on ivory) of a woman surrounded by a beaded brass border. The portrait is signed.   The box dates from the Georgian period, circa 1800.
