Gorgeous British Moorcroft Tall (9.5″) Cabinet Vase, Rich & Sophisticated Hand Glazed “Leaf & Berry Pattern”, Influenced by the Arts & Crafts Movement, Circa 1930s

An richly coloured example of art pottery by Moorcroft, this 9.5 inch high vase displays the classic and highly collectible “Leaf & Berry” design. The decoration features jewel-like berries nestled among sweeping, stylised leaves, all outlined in raised tube-lining. The berries are shaded in deep tones of purple, crimson, and blue, while the leaves transition through layered greens into warm ochre and golden highlights. The design sits against a beautifully graduated ground blending teal, olive, and deep blue, giving the piece depth and a softly atmospheric quality.

The Leaf & Berry pattern reflects Moorcroft’s strong connection to the Arts and Crafts movement, with its emphasis on hand craftsmanship and naturalistic yet stylised forms.
