Hand-Painted Rosenthal Germany Porcelain Figurine of a Butterfly

A beautifully hand-painted porcelain figurine of a butterfly, made by Rosenthal Germany.  The butterfly has colourful wing markings in black, white, orange and green with a yellow and black body.

On the underside is the Rosenthal maker’s mark and it reads “Rosenthal Germany Kunstabteilung  Sel B” and “Handgemait R” as well as the embossed numbers “1855”.

The butterfly measures 4 inches wide from wing to wing and is 2 inches tall.

It is in excellent condition.
