Herend Hungary Hand-Painted Porcelain 2-Handled Gravy Boat with Attached Underplate – “Indian Basket” Pattern

A lovely Herend Hungary hand-painted porcelain 2 handled gravy boat with an attached underplate. The piece is in the very popular “Indian Basket” pattern.

The gravy boat and underplate have white backgrounds and are decorated with flowers and leaves as well as a band of floral sprays around the rim of the underplate. There is gold trim on the gravy boat rim, handles, base and on the rim of the underplate with a design in gold on the exterior of the gravy boat. On the underside of the underplate are painted with clovers.

On the underside of the underplate is the Herend maker’s mark in blue and it reads “Herend Hungary Handpainted. In addition, there are the numbers “234” and the initials “FD”.

The underplate is 9 3/4 inches long. The gravy boat is 6 inches wide from handle to handle and the pair stand 4 inches tall.

The set is in excellent condition.
