KPM, Berlin Germany Polychrome Painted Porcelain Figurine of “Magpie with Snail”, Originally Sculpted by Johann Baptist Pedrozzi

A wonderful polychrome painted KPM Germany porcelain figurine of a Magpie with a Snail. The piece was originally sculpted in 1763 by Johann Baptist Pedrozzi (1710 to 1778), a Swiss sculptor. The figurine is colourfully painted and shows a Magpie sitting on a stump looking down at a creeping snail. The underside of the figurine shows the red imperial orb, the blue sceptre mark, and, in black, “140/69 E” for the model number, year, and painter’s mark.

The figurine measures 10 1/2 inches high x 7 inches wide.
