This spectacular lamp is by the Pairpoint Corporation, New Bedford, Mass., circa 1910. Reverse-painted “Berkeley” form shaped shade in the “Italian Garden” design. Both the shade shape and painted design are found in the book Pairpoint Lamps by Edward & Sheila Malakoff. It has a tranquil beauty to it’s colouration and would be a exceptional way to own a piece of American cultural heritage.
Shade Signed: by the artist P. Dillon on the inner lower edge. also stamped “Pairpoint Corp.”
Base Marked: Pairpoint, D3017, Made in USA.
Shade Measures: 20 inches in diameter.
Base Measures: 24 inches high x 7 1/2 inches across at the base.
