v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA delightful American sterling serving ladle created by 1847 Rogers Brothers, Silverware Company, it dates 19th century. It consists of a long handle and a deep bowl end for large serving portions. It is uniquely decorated throughout with embellishments of crest, bead, scroll and shell in the classic ‘Romanesques’ pattern. Beautifully designed and crafted, it would make a splendid gift, or serving piece.
Marked: 1847 Rogers Brothers. Silverware Company. Pattern: Romanesques (First production in 1898)
Measures: 8 1/2 inches long x 2 1/2 inches wide.
