Large Carl Thieme Dresden German Porcelain Pedestal Bowl with Colourful Painted Flowers, Butterflies and Applied Flowers

A large Carl Thieme , Dresden, German porcelain pedestal centrepiece bowl. It has a white background with colourful painted flower sprays and butterflies with applied flowers along the sides and gold accents.

The bowl has a scalloped rim.

On the underside is the mark of Carl Thieme – a prominent porcelain factory in Dresden from the 19th Century until WWII –  mark is in blue.

The piece measures 16 inches long x 11 inches wide and stands 7 inches tall.

There is some paint loss on two flowers in the centre bottom and some very minor paint loss and chips on the tips of a few applied flowers but, overall, the piece is in very good condition.
