Large Sevres Style Porcelain and Bronze Ormolu Hand-Painted Covered Vase.

Please look at this wonderful Sevres style porcelain and bronze ormolu hand-painted vase with lid, signed with the Sevres “Double L” mark on the inside surface of the lid.

The vase and lid have been painted in cobalt blue with gold and cartouche scenes on each side of the vase.

On one side is a courting couple playing the flute and, on the other side, a country scene of buildings, trees and water.

The lid has an acorn finial and each side of the vase sports the bronze head of a mythical figure with large, curly rams-horns.

The vase measures 23 1/2 inches from the tip of the finial to the bottom of the bronze base and it is in excellent condition.
