Limoges French “Pate sur Pate” Painted Porcelain Plaque of Woman and Child Playing, Signed “M. Chaufriasse”
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA beautiful Limoges France pate sur pate painted porcelain plaque of a woman and child playing. The plaque has a cobalt blue background and the figures are white, which makes a wonderful contrast. The plaque is tripled framed with gilt accents.
The plaque is signed on the bottom by the artist “Marcel Chaufriasse”. On the back of the piece is a paper label that reads “Porcelaines d’Art. Marcel Chiafriasse. 3 Boulevard Louis-Blanc. Limoges”.
The plaque by itself is 7 inches tall x 5 1/2 inches wide. With the frame, it measures 13 1/2 inches tall and is 11 1/2 inches wide.
It is in excellent condition overall and would be a lovely addition to any wall.
