Louis XV Style Leather-Top Writing Desk with Bronze Mounts – Simon Loscertales Bona (Zaragoza, Spain), mid 20th century – Signed on the underside

An elegant and generously proportioned leather-top writing desk by Simon Loscertales Bona, the noted Spanish ébéniste working in the French tradition. The desk features a shaped leather writing surface with tooled border, set within a finely figured wood carcass.

The serpentine form is richly enriched with finely cast and chased bronze mounts, including corner mounts, drawer escutcheons, and sabots. Cabriole legs and balanced proportions reflect Louis XV–style design, executed to a high standard of 20th-century craftsmanship. The substantial 62-inch length gives the desk excellent presence and usability, suitable as a centre desk or refined home-office piece.

3 functioning drawers on the front and 3 fake drawers on the back.

Measures 62 inches long x 20 inches deep x 29.5 inches high.  Very nice quality with heavy bronze mounts.
