Mappin & Webb Hammered Silverplate Footed Serving Bowl, c. 1900, Removable Interior Bowl and Removable Lid

Here is a gorgeous hammered silverplate serving bowl with a removable interior bowl and removable lid by Mappin & Webb, England. The lid has an opening for a spoon.

The serving bowl sits on 4 curved feet, a scalloped rim, and has decorations of cherries around the lid with a curved handle in the centre of the lid.

The piece is hammered both inside and out.

On the underside is stamped ” Triple Deposit. Mappin & Webb’s Prince’s Plate. London & Sheffield. W1355 8″.

The serving piece is 9 3/4 inches wide and stands approximately 7 1/2 inches tall.

It is in very good condition.
