Aynsley England Bone China Two-Handled Cream Soup Bowl & Underplate – “Coventry Deco” Pattern #7840 – Each Set Sold Separately

A lovely bone china two-handled cream soup bowl with matching underplate in the “Coventry Deco #7840” pattern, made by Aynsley England. Each bowl and underplate each has a white bottom and centre section of the topside is decorated with a large floral spray. The next section is cream coloured with gold detailing and the outer section is a beautiful red, overlaid with a gold leaf design.

The rim and handles of the bowl and rim of the underplate are gold and there is a gold band separating each section.

On the underside of each piece is the Aynsley maker’s mark and it reads “Aynsley England. Bone China Reg’d 754522”. In gold is written “Coventry Deco 7840” and, in another section, is painted “7840”.

The bowl is 6 1/2 inches wide from handle to handle and is 2 inches high. The underplate is 6 1/4 inches in diameter. Both pieces are in excellent condition.
