Mason’s English Ironstone Soup Tureen – Matching Lid, Ladle, and Under-plate – “Regency Pattern” c.1938

A gorgeous Mason’s English Ironstone soup tureen with matching lid, ladle and underplate in the “Regency” pattern.  The pieces have a white background and are colourfully decorated with florals and birds in shades of blue, red, yellow, and green.

On the underside of the tureen is the Mason’s makers’ mark and it reads “Mason’s Patent Ironstone China. “Regency” England C4475, R. No. 8213. In Gt.Britain”.  The Registered number dates this piece circa 1938.

The tureen measures 14 inches long x 8 1/2 inches wide x 6 inches tall. The lid is 6 1/2 inches wide x 8 3/4 inches long and the ladle is 10 inches long x 3 1/4 inches wide across the bowl.

There is some normal age crazing but, overall, the pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

The underplate is 15 inches long x 10 inches wide.
